The Registered Nurse (RN) works under the direction of the Nurse Manager and under direct supervision of the Charge Nurse on duty each shift. The RN works in collaboration with all other clinical care departments to provide safe high quality nursing care to patients as assigned. The RN utilizes knowledge of basic nursing principles, practices, and ethics in order to perform procedures and tasks within their scope of practice.
The RN effectively utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient needs to assure age and developmentally appropriate nursing care for patient population served (infants, children, adolescents and young adults).
The RN is responsible for providing and documenting nursing care, in accordance with developed care plan and physician’s orders for each individual patient in a safe patient and family-centered process. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the organization strategic plan, the goals and direction of the quality assurance performance improvement process, and activities.
Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license as issued by the State of California
Bachelors of Science degree in nursing (BSN) preferred
Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or within 6 months of hire date
Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) (preferred)
Pay: $32 to $37.75/hour
Depends on experiece and education. Benefit eligible at 30/60 days, Health, Dental, Vision, Life, and 401K plan.
